May Campus Transformation Update

May was a month of celebration, marked by considerable construction milestones and a significant grant award for the capital campaign.

When visiting campus, it’s clear the Maternelle buildings are coming into form, and excitement is growing. Carbon Construction has completed framing for three of the four buildings and begun roof installation in two of the buildings. In addition, the crews continued working on utility systems, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical.

“We are thrilled to soon welcome our youngest learners into a beautiful new space designed just for them,” said Gabrielle Esbeck, Maternelle Division Head. “With abundant natural light, wood accents, and views of the surrounding nature, this building will reflect the joy and curiosity of our Maternelle students. Being closer together will strengthen collaboration among teachers and deepen the sense of community that supports every child's growth and discovery.”

The Grow With Us capital campaign has raised more than $2.5 million to help fund the project. We are excited and grateful for the support of the M.J. Murdock Trust, which awarded the campaign a $200,000 grant to cover the costs of building the science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) lab.

“When kids get into a STEAM space, they enter a design-thinking process, and it enables them to be more creative,” added Julien Tresse, French International STEAM coordinator. “We are preparing kids for the future, teaching them how new technology works so they can be active in our new world."

As the school year winds down, the campaign committee is having conversations with parents, grandparents, alumni, alumni parents, and outside community members to work towards the $8 million campaign goal. The campaign is a crucial part of funding the entire construction project, and we will need the support of the whole community to reach our goals.
