Dry April Days Bring Big Construction Progress

Spring is in full swing, and with it comes drier days and an opportunity for construction crews to put in quite a bit of work. The campus transformation is building excitement in the community as we make more progress on the Maternelle buildings set to open this fall.

The site work continued with an especially busy spring break week. Over the break, construction crews began framing for three of the four Maternelle buildings. They also worked on sewer, storm drain, and electrical installations. In addition, the crews did significant earthwork on the site to prepare the area for pouring the concrete for the final building as well as backfilling parts of the site that will become play and outdoor learning spaces. The site is starting to come into form, and the building frames help visualize the future of the campus.

The Grow With Us capital campaign committee continues to have thoughtful conversations with leadership donors and, to date, has raised more than 2.2 million dollars. The committee has brainstormed ideas for campaign events and group asks for later in the spring to continue building excitement and enthusiasm for the future of our campus. In addition, we expect to hear an update from the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust grant award in the next few weeks. We will need every member of the French International community to be involved in the Grow With Us capital campaign. We encourage you to consider how you and your family would like to participate. If you are interested in learning more about the Capital Campaign, please reach out to Marianne Wilburn, Director of Development.
