June Campus Transformation Update

Every week, construction crews make significant progress on the Maternelle buildings. Driving onto campus, it’s easier to envision how things will look once the buildings open this fall.

Some of the major milestones this month included:

  • Beginning drywall and insulation installation in three of the four buildings. We completed this installation in the first building and expect to finish the installation in the next week.

  • Prepared three of the four buildings for plumbing, electrical, and mechanical inspections, and passed our first of three inspections.

  • Poured the final concrete slab for the eventual pre-k building.

  • Began roof installation for three of the four buildings. We completed the roof installation on one building and expect to complete the next two in the near future.

  • Maternelle teachers packed up their classrooms at the end of the year in anticipation of moving into the new buildings in the fall.

“We’re excited to begin the next chapter of Maternelle in our new building and continue growing together,” - Emilie McNeil, preschool teacher.

The Grow With Us capital campaign has raised more than $2.5 million to help fund the project. Over the summer, the campaign committee will work on planning for the fall campaign strategy. As the Maternelle buildings come into form, there will be opportunities for site tours. If you are interested in touring the Maternelle site over the summer, contact Marianne Wilburn, Director of Development.

The campaign is a crucial part of funding the entire construction project, and we will need the support of the whole community to reach our goals. If you are interested in learning more about the capital campaign, please reach out to Marianne Wilburn.
