October Brings Major Milestones in Construction and Campaign Growth
We are excited to announce a significant milestone in the Grow With Us Capital Campaign: we have officially surpassed the $3 million mark, thanks to a generous $500,000 gift, which is the largest contribution to date. Earlier this month, the Capital Campaign Committee held its kick-off meeting to brainstorm ideas and generate enthusiasm for the next phase of the Campaign. Throughout this school year, you can expect to hear from committee members about various ways to get involved and learn more about the Campaign, the construction plans, and our vision for the future.
On the construction side, crews made significant progress during the October ACE Week. The TPS and kindergarten buildings are currently on track to be completed before Thanksgiving, with the preschool and pre-k buildings following behind.
In October, the TPS building saw interior finishes installed, sound testing completed, and painting wrapped up earlier in the month. The focus there now turns to final details, including security camera installation, signage, fire extinguishers, and ADA accessories.
The kindergarten building also moved through painting and interior finishes, following the completion of drywall sanding and trim installation earlier in October. Final details are also on the horizon.
In the preschool building, significant progress this month included installing tile, cabinetry, countertops, plumbing fixtures, interior doors, and paint. The next steps are to conduct fire suppression testing, interior finish work, and additional security installations.
Finally, the pre-k building made visible structural progress this month, with the upper slab poured and drywall installation well underway. Over the next few weeks, crews will complete drywall finishing and begin installing interior hardware and fixtures.
Beyond the individual buildings, the construction team poured concrete for the interior courtyard and continued work on external sidewalks, as well as finalizing landscaping and planting plans to create beautiful outdoor spaces.
